American Pattern File
Long Angle Lathe 
Primarily for lathe work and bench filing. Long Angle Lathe Files are single cut
with both edges safe (uncut) and taper toward the point in width. The teeth are
designed on a "long angle" to provide free cutting and rapid filing
while leaving a smooth finish.
Machinist Files, generally double-cut, are excellent for hogging (rapid stock removal) on all types of material.
Saw Files, generally single-cut, are great for smoother finishes and best suited for sharpening saws or dressing edged tools.
